NOVA is an employer-driven workforce intermediary. We connect Northeast Louisiana residents with career guidance, training, support services, and job-search assistance while helping regional employers build a skilled workforce.

NOVA serves adults who are at least 18 years old, live in Northeast Louisiana, are unemployed or underemployed, and are ready to commit to long-term training and meaningful change.

Participants must also meet current income guidelines and have a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact NOVA before ruling yourself out. The team can explain the eligibility review and required documentation.

Begin with the participant application, call NOVA, or visit the Monroe office. The process includes an initial conversation, an application, an eligibility review, a skills assessment, and a meeting with the NOVA team before enrollment.

NOVA connects participants with training and career-readiness support for manufacturing, customer service, construction, healthcare, and other high-demand occupations. The right path depends on your goals, assessment, and available training opportunities.

Participants receive orientation, a comprehensive skills assessment, case management, guidance, counseling, support services, and help addressing training needs. NOVA stays involved from the first conversation through training and the job search.

NOVA cannot guarantee a job offer. After training, participants are offered job-search and placement support that can include resume writing, interview preparation, job leads, and ongoing assistance from NOVA staff.

Yes. NOVA also provides individual counseling, job-placement support, financial education and employment coaching through the Financial Opportunity Center, plus help with digital skills, affordable internet options, and connected devices through Digital Navigation.
