Letter from NOVA Board President Sherry Ray Wilson
With six and a half years of success as a NOVA Board of Director and now president, I am ecstatic with the rigorous accomplishments of this impressive organization.
NOVA's expansion
NOVA’s expansion has been consistent with the efforts to serve the community by adding programs such as, Financial Opportunity Center, Digital Navigation Services, Educational programs with Delta Community College and a recent updated extension with DCFS from regional support to now serving in the Ouachita parish area, enlarging the CSE E&T (Child Support Enforcement, Employment and Training) program.
With the collaboration of local and regional stakeholders, NOVA has created impactful relationships, enhancing the credibility of the organization. We uphold integrity and character to stand behind what we produce in the lives of the people we encounter. As president, it is rewarding to partner with an organization, who believes in serving with compassion, knowledge and excellence as their guide.
In closing, my heartfelt thanks to all Northeast Louisiana and the surrounding regional employers for supporting NOVA each year. Your support is partly the reason we at NOVA are committed to making a difference in the lives of the people who walk through our doors. To Paul West, Juanita Woods and the amazing staff of NOVA, as well as the volunteer board members and our Advisory Council, thank you for your heart to serve and grow this organization to meet the needs of the workforce in Northeast Louisiana.
I take great pride in stating, let the greatest years continue to be in front of us.
